What was good:
Unsurpassed views of the whole harbour from the top floor's two front-aspect windows. Good view out of the kitchen window, of the little communal play area at the intersection of Barrass Square and High Barrass. The general standard of repair and finishing is really good. Bright, colourful and tasteful. The top floor is a good place to relax and take in the heartbeat of Staithes' community. The bedroom is clean and bright, with pristine bedding.

What was bad:
The accommodation is very small for more than one person. It is strange having the only toilet/bathroom on the top floor with the living room and no toilet on the bedroom floor or the ground floor. The purported garden/terrace area is really just a sad little wood and concrete square, covered in green mould and has absolutely no privacy. Guests are told not to let their dogs urinate anywhere near the cottage.
